Canada's current installed wind energy generating capacity is 3,319 MW - enough to power almost 1,000,000 homes. Sounds impressive, huh?China planned to have 30,000 MW of wind power to come online by 2020, but this target will now be met early in 2010. It gets better. China is now planning for 150,000 MW of wind power by 2020, and again it is likely that this will be achieved much earlier.
