I’m just into week 3 of my new job and I have to say that working outside the city limits has its advantages.
Luckily I live in the northwest quadrant of Calgary, so getting to Airdrie is quite easy, now that the ring road is complete. And by complete, I'm not referring to any acceptable definition of the word. I'll post about that shortly.
Working in a small community has its advantages. Every resource I could need access to is within a 5 minute drive. That includes supermarkets, banks, restaurants, big box stores and more. Better, there are some mom and pop eateries that give me some decent choices beside the standard sub, burger, pita, taco and pizza offerings. There’s even a burger bus! Yeah, I know..... Darlene isn’t too impressed. But I am.
The only down side is the construction. There’s plenty of it going on in and around Airdrie, but once the pain is over, getting around and through this town should be amazing.
