Lunch hour jam session

I came back to work from lunch today and as I’m walking toward my office, I can hear the strains of live music. I don’t mean someone was playing Cheap Trick’s Live at Budokan on their office or cubicle computer or stereo system – this was actual live music emanating from human beings.

Curious, I walked through the maze of cubicles toward the source of the sound and found 5 souls jamming with guitars, a flute and bongos in someone’s office. The first words out of their mouths upon seeing me were “Do you play?” I dismissed the notion with a nod and insisted they carry on as if I wasn’t there. And so they did.

How cool is that?

I used to live in Barrow, Alaska. I would often have lunch in a Korean place. The Teriyaki Beef was excellent. One of the cooks would sing what I thought was Korean Opera, it was beautiful. It could have been a hymn or praise of Beloved Leader for all I knew but it was beautiful.

That's pretty awesome, the only jam session we have here is if Mitch comes home for lunch.
