Free wifi for Calgary community

The northwest Calgary community of Hawkwood is apparently the first in Canada to get free Wi-Fi.

Everyone in that neighbourhood will have access to free Internet. Enmax crews are installing 23 wireless nodes throughout the community on new light standards. The free Internet service will be low speed but users have an option to upgrade to high-speed at rates lower than other ISPs.

If it goes well, it may extend to other communities.
