Michael Getler, the Ombudsman for PBS is looking into viewer complaints of a skit run on Sesame Street, October 29.The skit showed Oscar the Grouch host on GNN 'The Grouch News Network' pursuing GNN's mantra of 'all-grouchy, all disgustin', all yucky' news.
The problem PBS brass is looking into, is when another character, complained to Oscar, states that the Grouch isn't grouchy enough and threatens to switch to "Pox News, now there's a trashy news show."
Getler commented, "I don't know what was in the head of the producers, but my guess is that this was one of those parodies that was too good to resist, but it should have been resisted."
