Message to the tire store: Nice try

Some friendly advice for the tire stores for future reference.

Let's say that you sell a set of tires to a customer and install them. Then later in the day you call the customer to tell them that while performing a routine mechanical inspection of the customer's vehicle, you discover that the oil was so low it didn't even register on the dipstick and that also the battery isn't holding even close to its maximum potential charge (and you give them some obscure figure in 'cold cranking amps'). Then of course, you offer to top up or preferably change their oil for them (for an extra fee + cost of oil) and replace their battery too (for another extra fee + cost of battery).

OK look.... you might want to make sure before you try this little ploy that the customer hasn't already left the premises with their vehicle so that they can prove you wrong. Because.... umm.... the oil level is just fine. I'm also willing to bet that the next time I get my car to my dealership and ask them to test the battery....... it will be just fine too.

Dorks.

Is it one of your "Find the place" or "Guess the object" games? ;)

In which case I'd take a guess at Canadian Tire.

Do I win? If I'm wrong... what's the answer?

It's not a game this time Charles. But your guess is incorrect, although I can imagine why you would have chosen them. I won't say who they are but will indicate that their name rhymes with 'gal fire'.
