Toys not even created equal

Darlene has become quite familiar with the toy industry since becoming a grandmother. One of the things we acquired for little Olivia lately was a Little Tikes Place (seen on the left), a basic doll-house with movable furniture and people. But then she noticed that Little Tikes also makes a Mansion (seen on the right), with better quality furniture and better people - and by that I mean physically better (more joints) - not morally. Family members can be bought as Caucasians or African-Americans. For real. It would be fun to put the white family in the ghetto house.

You know, it's never too early to teach your children about the class system in society.....

That was a joke.... just so we're clear, OK?
