We had a lot of snow this year

If you thought that you spent more time with a shovel this winter, you're not imagining things. Our average November to March snowfall is 87 cm. Since the beginning of November 2008 to the end of March 2009, we've had 155 cm of snow.

This is a new record (at least to this point in the winter/spring season), and our records date all the way back to 1885! The next closest winters were '23-'24, and '24-25, each (remarkably) with 149 cm. So, unless you're a Calgary resident and over 125 years old, this is something nobody here has experienced.
