I like how Gary Bettman, the commissioner of the NHL, said the NHL doesn't 'run out on cities'. This was in reference to the Canadian owner of the Blackberry corporation RIM, who has recently offered the owner of the Phoenix Coyotes US$212.5 to move the team to southern Ontario.
Apparently, what he meant to say was 'the NHL doesn't run out on American cities', since the NHL did little to save either the Quebec Nordiques who are now the Colorado Avalanche, nor the Winnipeg Jets, who are now the financially strapped Phoenix Coyotes.
