They're baaaaack!

This story has the makings of a movie plot, but it's real: (edited for brevity)

Those who claim to be the heirs of the Knights Templar have come back to haunt the Pope. They've launched a legal battle in Spain against Him, claiming that, when the order was dissolved, more than 9,000 properties as well as other commercial enterprises belonging to the knights were appropriated by the church (valued at 100 billion euros).

The Pope can counter sue for the unknown billions that the Knights Templar made off with in their armada of ships. That treasure may be myth as none of it has every surfaced. Although plenty of people have dug up various bits and pieces of Europe in the quest. And then there are the lesser charges by both parties for various executions etc. I'm sure international law applies.
