For anyone travelling through the Rockies en route to Calgary, the legend of Canada being the land of ice and snow was reinforced today. In the mountains and surrounding areas, there was white stuff on the ground this morning. Calgary was still green, but still tempered by a chilly high of 7C (46F). The furnace is actually on today at our house. It's still (barely) August for those keeping track.
That would have made my Labour Day long weekend interesting enough, but I also came down with a cold. Yeah. My nose is running a marathon. I know - sad joke.
I don't care.
