"Describe in single words only the good things that come into your mind about... your mother"

Yesterday marked the 25th anniversary of the release of the movie Blade Runner, one of my favourite movies of all time.

I just love everything about this movie, the actors, the visuals, the music..... I know I've seen this movie at least 40 times and I'm still not tired of it.

Of all the movies in your Favorites list and in Carlas' list
I have never seen Blade Runner and in Carlas I have never even heard of Kinky Boots. I've seen 1000's of movies and I just don't know why I missed it

Agreed - it's one of the best. Interesting quote of Harrison Ford from imdb.com though:

"Harrison Ford has branded his role playing a futuristic cop in Blade Runner "a f**king nightmare." The actor admits he was initially attracted to the role as Rick Deckard in the 1982 movie, but was not keen on the voiceover narrations. Ford claims director Ridley Scott agreed to remove them for the script - but was disappointed when the spoken words made the film's final cut. He says, "When we started shooting it had been tacitly agreed that the version of the film that we had agreed upon was the version without voiceover narration. It was a f**king nightmare. I thought that the film had worked without the narration. But now I was stuck re-creating that narration. And I was obliged to do the voiceovers for people that did not represent the director's interests."

You know.... I never did get caught up in the hoopla about the versions with and without the narration. It made absolutely no difference to me.

I've seen both versions, and actually prefer the film noir feel to the original version with the cheesy narration. Regardless: it's one of the faves and absolutely brilliant.
