Make your hybrid even better

This is an interesting story. A Canadian company came up with a way to upgrade existing hybrid cars (at least the ones that can operate in all-electric mode while there's enough juice in the batteries) to give it more battery capacity. The extra batteries aren't as big as you might expect, because they use Lithium Ion Polymer cells instead. Hymotion claims you could run your hybrid car for 50km without need for the gasoline engine to kick in. That would serve the needs of most commuters in this country. The best part is that the upgrade also adds plug-in capability, so you can recharge the batteries overnight. The only down sides - $12,500 for the upgrade and you void your warranty.
