Brush with greatness

Ever seen the kill switch doo-hickey that is used on racing motorcycles, ski-doos, sea-doos, etc? The plug you tie to your clothing so that if you fall off, the plug comes with you and essentially kills the engine to prevent the vehicle from running you (or anyone else) over? Well, the man who invented that sits in the cubicle right next to me.................. I kid you not.

I've never known anyone who held a patent before....

P.S.: It's not actually called a doo-hickey, it's called a vehicle safety switch with removable dielectric plug.
