Very realistic

I posted something along these lines months ago, but they were just static shots of scenery - no characters. Behold, a peek at the new Half Life 2 PC game. I can just imagine what kind of hardware is needed to play this........

My fiancee is currently playing it and is highly addicted. I can ask him about the "guts" of his system if you want. He did say it was a hell of an install but that the game is so worth it.

I actually had no idea the game was already on the street. Yeah, sure - spill the 'guts'.

Geez karl. This games been out for months. It's already old news. :p and in terms of hardware, I'm running it on an athlon 64 3200+ with 1 gig ddr400, a radeon x700 pro pci-x and a sata 1 hdd with ncq. It runs just fine on this system, but I can't achieve a graphics level (quite) as good as those screenshots. Although it still looks damn good at 1280 by 1024 with most of the graphics settings turned up

Well, I guess I won't be running it on my system............

oh come on karl, you can't buck up 800 bucks to build a newer, future-proofed system?

Sure I could...... I could buy a new computer anytime I wanted to.... No matter what anyone else said....... Even if she did give me that 'look'. I just choose not to. Yeah, that's it............ I choose not to.

But seriously Mark, my PC's only maybe a year or so old - I just didn't bother spending oogle-dollars on decent video hardware. That's all I'd really need.
