Why does McDonald's call them 'hotcakes'? They're friggin' pancakes for crying out loud! Maybe they were psychologically trying to tap into the power of the phrase 'selling like hotcakes'. To think they could have picked other alternate names for the product - like 'griddle cakes' or my favourite, 'flapjacks'. Yeah, McFlapjacks. Or maybe just McJacks. I'm in the wrong business folks..............Speaking of which, Darlene found a recipe for real Buttermilk pancakes made from scratch and she's gonna make 'em this weekend. If I remember, I'll tell you how they were - compared to pancakes made from mix.
P.S.: Can anyone find Aunt Jemima Buckwheat pancake mix where they live? They don't sell it here.....
