This is your brain on really bad drugs...

If you need any proof that the 60's were saturated with drug use, look no further than the lyrics of some hit tunes of the day. For example, these are actual lyrics from the song Good Morning Starshine by Oliver (if this sounds familiar, it's from the Broadway musical "Hair"):
