We can race rovers around Mars. We can land probes on distant moons. We can use GPS to determine our exact whereabouts. Yet we still have a fax technology mired in the dark ages.
Why haven't we made the fax easier and faster, or simply done away with it altogether? Is adding and/or extracting attachments to/from e-mail messages that complicated? Well, in the case of some people we know, the answer would be "yes". I know people who know how to receive faxes, but are befuddled by the idea of opening an attachment received via e-mail.
Well, I think it's time to ditch this dinosaur. AXE the FAX!
