Affordable fashion for men - too much to ask?

I am very jealous of women for one specific thing - their choice of clothes. Holy cow do you ever have a lot of stores to choose from. Now I understand the economics of the situation, but seriously - I have a really hard time finding anything good outside of the categories of "suits" and "jeans /t-shirts".

Randy River? Give me a break....I'm not a "silk-shirt-wearin'-playah". I could shop at the Gap or Tommy or Eddie, but I refuse to pay $175 for a golf shirt - sorry. Winners sometimes gets some decent stuff, but it all seems to come in one shipment and the good stuff is usually picked over within 24 hours. There are times I wonder if Winners has secret after-hours shopping parties, because 95% of the time all that's left on the racks are leftovers of the leftovers in XXSmall or XXXXLarge. Sears? Yeah, I'm really looking forward to adopting a lime green polyester wardrobe......

It doesn't just apply to new either. Consignment clothes stores offer lots to choose from for ladies too - but for men all that I usually find is shirts with the collars almost worn off and fashions from the 1970s.
