Things I learned lately 4 Sep

  • On a good dark night, no moon, no city light pollution, and good eyesight, you can see, with the unaided eye, about 3,000 stars. The brightness of a full moon overpowers starlight intensity to a point where there are then only about 300 stars still visible.

  • Trump's trade policies have not improved its trade deficit, which now stands at a 12-year high of $64B
  • As of 28 August, the US had 3,601,756 active Covid cases (recovered and death numbers subtracted from the total). while Canada had 5,101 active Covid cases.
  • Under Trump, only 5 miles of border wall has been built where none existed before. All other wall building is replacement of older, smaller fences.
  • The terminal velocity of a penny is 30-50 mph, not enough to kill someone.
  • Nowhere in the bible does it say that hell is ruled by Satan.
  • Milk does not increase mucous when you have a cold.
  • A sprinkle of salt does not help water boil faster.
