That's right. The smiley face means there's enough light to power the keyboard / charge the battery, the un-smiley face means there's not enough light. Kinda pointless though, as the battery keeps enough power to run the thing for weeks with no light.

It looks solar...does it tell you if there's enough power/light to run? Or it needs more light or something? Heidi
