iPad apps for (young) kids

iPad apps for kids that I (and Olivia) can heartily recommend to parents.

In no particular order:

  • Toca Boca Tea Party (or anything by Toca Boca)
  • Cat in the Hat
  • Goldilocks and the 3 Bears
  • Monkey Preschool Lunchbox
  • Monkey Math School Sunshine
  • Stella and Sam - Backyard at Twilight (or anything by Stella and Sam)
  • Sesame Street Playground
  • Adding Apples

I don't know. I only deal with iPads at the moment. My advice would be to search the Android store (or whatever it's called) and search on those titles.

These games look like they would be a lot of fun. My son plays the Monkey Preschool Lunchbox all the time. One app that my whole family uses all the time is the DISH Remote Access App through my provider DISH Network. I have the Sling Adapter hooked up to my receiver and that gives us access to all our subscription channels anywhere we can get a Wi-Fi connection. We can watch all our favorite shows live while we travel or we are running errands, and we can even access our DVR recordings too. A co-worker at DISH told me that they recently added the Blockbuster Movie Pass to the iPad, so now the kids can stream those movies also. The kids love using this app and I use it when I am working out. It is great for traveling in the car when they don’t want to play anything.
