Am I the only person who is fascinated... no gobsmacked that as we look out into the universe, we're actually looking back in time hundreds, then thousands, then millions, then billions of years? This basically means that we only can see what has recently transpired in our immediate vicinity. The further out we look, the further away from current reality we step. Stuff could be happening all around us, but we'll never see it because it takes so long for the light to reach us.The universe is a time machine in reverse.

Yeah we are moving AWAY from the super black hole that resides at the center of OUR galaxy and that is a good thing. We still need to invent warp drive though. Somebody must working anti-matter singularity stuff, yathink?
