My To-Don't list for this weekend
- Don't assume the honey-do list is almost finished.
- Don't expect Darlene to be happy that hockey season is back.
- Don't bother raking the leaves yet. Wind storms are forecast in a few days.
- Don't look neighbour in the eyes while leaves are still partly on his front yard.
- Don't look at the calendar. It's October already and that's pretty damned depressing.
- Don't put all the patio furniture away just yet. That just signals the universe that you've given up on the possibility of any nice weather returning.
- Don't bring up the fact that you wouldn't mind if Darlene let her hair turn grey. That subject is taboo.
- Don't let the household supply of chocolate run out before Sunday. Darlene is never impressed when there's no chocolate.

Okay here is the thing about letting your hair go gray...
if it is a nice dazzling white or one of those charming gray blends, let it go gray. Also if you have reached a point where you can't see drips and runs because you do not want to stain your glasses and have resorted to smearing vaseline on your forhead, neck and ears, let it go gray. Lastly if you can no longer afford for your hair dressing to do touch up at 50 bucks each, let it go gray, Darlene. Royce
