The blind leading the blind

Just so you know, the folks who are meeting secretly to discuss the stricter future of copyright law around the world are ready to sabotage a proposed treaty by certain countries that would prevent disabled and specifically blind people from being legally prosecuted for converting material to e-book format so that it can be electronically read to them. Why? Because "The treaty ... creates a bad precedent by loosening copyright restrictions, instead of tightening them as every previous copyright treaty has done."

Just so you know. Y'all OK with that? So for everyone that can't read and for the 70% of us who will eventually lose our eyesight at some point in our life, WIPO is about to flip us a pretty big bird there. But that's OK, right?

Can you tell I'm pissed off?
