This is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada. I like to reflect over the past year over some of the things that I am grateful for. This year, I am thankful that my former employer gave me the summer off with pay. I am thankful for EI (Employment Insurance). I am thankful for Darlene holding it together - these have been trying times for her. I am thankful for the job opportunities that I've had so far and especially the one I'm in the middle of hunting right now. I'm thankful to my friends and colleagues who have shown their support through this unemployed period and as soon as I'm working we are definitely going to celebrate. I am thankful that Darlene taught me the value and proper application of a budget those many years ago. I cannot begin to tell you how much it has made a difference this year. I have nothing but positive vibes about the coming months and that the right job will be mine for all of the right reasons - it's a synchronicity thing.
To my readers - thanks for sticking with me over the years and occasionally making a comment, playing my games, rating a post or sending me an idea. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving (in Canada) and to my American readers - I bet you can almost smell the turkey from there, eh?
