Krispy Kreme never got a good hold in Canada

Once upon a time, Krispy Kreme opened a store in Calgary. It turns out that Krispy Kreme opened 18 stores in Canada, with a total of 32 planned.

That didn't quite work out so well. There are now four. Three of those exist in Quebec while the other store is in Mississauga, Ontario. The Calgary store is gone, replaced by a........ Tim Horton's of course.

A Krispy Kreme opened in Boise, I went with relatives a couple year ago to see what all the shouting was about. Meh...small donuts, and fresh versus quantity? Again, old donuts get tossed at the end of the day anyhow unless they make to my local market all packaged in plastic wrap. R
