When people in Beijing need a place to hang out for a while (or in some cases all day), they like to go to IKEA. That's right.They go for the hot dogs, the ice cream, the refillable drinks. They go for the air conditioning, the comfy beds and chairs (to rest and nap no less). They go to dream of what it would be like to have modern, Scandinavian furniture (truly a novelty in China I suppose). Couples even get pictures taken with the new furniture as some kind of fake posturing, "Look at us with our new Hamra and Lack".
