If you can produce electricity on your property, via solar, geothermal, wind, and so on, you now have the ability to store whatever you can produce for later use. The battery will cram 20 to 40 kilowatt hours of energy into a package about the size of a refrigerator.I use about 20kWh of electricity per day. That means if I could produce at least 20kWh of electricity per day from alternative sources, I could go totally off-grid.
