How much exactly is 30g of sugar?

Pop quiz: Which has more sugar - a little snack box of raisins or a large apple?

It's actually the raisins with 30 grams versus the apple's 23 grams. How about the large apple versus the banana?

The apple wins versus the banana's 17g of sugar. But all these numbers are meaningless - wouldn't it be better to see that amount of sugar represented visually? This site does just that, by representing the sugar amount in cubes.

Wait until you see some of the drinks...... the 21 Oz McDonald's Chocolate shake has 111g of sugar - more than a pint of ice cream. Pictured is one Cinnabon cinnamon roll.
