I wouldn't call myself an 'early adopter' when it comes to technology, but I'm not exactly a n00b-ass either. I bought my first PC in 1985. I sold my album collection in 1988 to switch to CDs. I've been on the internet since 1994, got my first cell phone in 1999 (I really found no need for one prior), been blogging since 2004. I get Facebook. I have an iPhone. I text occasionally, although I find it so much easier in most circumstances to call people or leave them voice messages. Yeah, colour me old-school.
Twitter is another story entirely. I understand what twitter is for, I just don't see the point. The internet has turned most of us into narcissists (or exhibitionists - I'm never quite sure which) thanks to blogs, IM and so on, but is it absolutely necessary to be tweeting every single aspect of your life? I have run across some Twitter pages that have the odd gem worth reading - but these are usually the byproduct of talented writers who have plenty of funny, clever and witty material scattered in various places on the web. These gems are the exception, not the rule.
I always figured that if it was worth tweeting, you may as well just make it your latest Facebook status, since Facebook is so much more capable than tweeting anyway. Am I missing something? Do you tweet?
Here's a pair of videos making fun of twitter - in the first, Twitter is up, in the next, it's down. One and two.

Let's say I have an account, and I've been known to type sentences, but check out what my last 'tweet' says.
Basically I think it's worthless and if I had it on my phone I would find it annoying and then get rid of it. Definitely old school here.
