This guy converted a VW Passat into a fully electric car. It cost him about 20 grand to convert, but he only paid $1800 for the car (blown engine). The motor cost $1250 and came out of a Ford Ranger (EV model). The batteries and charger came to about $8000. (Make sure to watch the videos)I think the point here is that the parts are now wholly available to convert any car into a full-blown electric. So what's the industry's excuse?
