The Globe and Mail has made it possible for anyone to collaboratively contribute to the whole concept of copyright in Canada by setting up a Wiki. The idea is to draft an open-sourced version of a copyright bill, using the original Bill C-61 as a starting point, as an alternative to that original Bill that the ruling Conservative government almost pushed through in 2008 before an election was called. You can make modifications however you want to build a template for modern Canadian copyright.
The Globe and Mail will submit the final version to Ottawa for consideration on Canada Day, July 1st. Big media in Canada have finally done something smart, constructive and collaborative for a change. Count me in on this project.
