The very first application I bought for my iPhone (for $0.99), is Recorder. It's a simple yet effective way to turn the iPhone into a digital recording device. I was interested in this application because I'd like to use it for the interviews that I do. It saves the recordings in .AIFF format, but Audacity converts that without issue. What I was curious about - how do I get these recordings off of the iPhone and onto my PC? Well, the answer blew me away. You touch the wi-fi sync button in the application and it becomes a wi-fi web server of sorts, giving you the IP address and port number to plug into your web browser on your computer. Once you do, the files available in Recorder are listed. You just click the link and download the file(s) to your computer.
It doesn't get much simpler than that.....
