I'm always switching back and forth between my Windows desktop and my MacBook, both of which have Firefox installed as my browser. So whenever I move from one to the other, I'm having to deal with getting the bookmarks I have on my desktop copied over to my MacBook or vice versa to sync things up. It's not a huge task, but it is labour intensive (I mean that in the labour that doesn't get your hands dirty kind of way).
Well, I have been wasting a lot of time doing it the manual way. Introducing Foxmarks. You create an account, add the Foxmarks extension into Firefox (I presume IE works too) and upload your latest bookmarks. Then once you install the extension onto other computers, you can log into Foxmarks and sync what's online onto your second (or third, or fourth...) computer. You can even sync passwords that are stored in your browser, but I opted not to do that since I do not store passwords in my browser (security risk too high).
Now all I'll have to do is force a sync from the computer I'm leaving, then run a sync on the next computer(s). It takes all of a few seconds.
