Canadian Coast Guard cutters would often stop in Barrow and invite people on board for a party! I still have my loonie that I traded for in the ships stores. Nice Boat, I think it was called the Martha Black. They had a special hot tub set up on the deck, it was called a hypothermia unit, very clever. Retro
I've been trying for years to get our Scout Group to buy a "portable hypothermia recovery chamber". Almost had one parent ready to start fund-raising before somebody explained to her what it was. [grins]

Hypothermia unit.... LOL. Yeah, Canadian Navy ships are known for their parties too. I'm happy to hear that they showed you a good time.
