Hoping this doesn't happen during 2010 Olympics

The 2010 Winter Olympics will be rather unique. While the host city (Vancouver) is right on the west coast of Canada and is not quite what average Canadians think about when you say winter city, most of the events requiring snow will take place in the world renowned ski resort town of Whistler, about 120km away.

The problem lies between the two, as the sea-to-sky highway is a sorry excuse for a road link between the two. This isn't a surprise really - we Canadians excel at building half-assed roads through our mountains (ever driven the Trans Canada between Revelstoke and Banff?). Pictured is said sorry excuse for a road link, which suffered a huge rock slide that almost took out a bus and will keep the road out of commission for at least 5 days.
