If you don't got it.... stop flaunting it

Message to AVIS car rental:

If you're going to plaster your rental counters with huge advertisements about hybrid cars available for rent..... ummmm...... you might actually want to have hybrid cars for rent. If not, at least train your staff to act like there's a remote possibility that you might have a hybrid available when someone asks for one in advance.

The staff I spoke to displayed a demeanour to suggest the chances of there being a hybrid car at that location were about as good as finding environmentalist David Suzuki at the Conservative Party headquarters.

And while I'm on my soapbox..... you might also want to remind your staff that when a customer asks if there are any foreign cars available, they aren't looking for a Chrysler 300, a Pontiac G6 or a Ford Taurus. They're looking for a Toyota, or a Nissan, or something like that.
