WTF?
A lot of video clips are suddenly only being hosted on content providers like Hulu, which are blocking viewing from anywhere outside the US. Yeah, yeah, I know all about the ridiculous ramifications of showing programming, even clips of programming, whose rights haven't been secured by content distributors from other countries. OH!! Here's a thought...... maybe if people from other countries could see a sample of your fantastically wonderful programming, they would get so excited as to actually drum up demand for their country's TV networks to consider buying the rights to show those programs in those countries. For those of us who've already paid our dues and have already seen these shows on our own networks, or paid ludicrous cable TV fees so we can watch your networks to see these popular shows...... pony up!
I'm holding up a finger in your general direction. Can you guess which one?
I'm pissed. Can you tell?

I very much agree with you on this, and I almost think it's a publicity thing. If they can cause a stir by blocking certain people - then they get attention? Maybe? I've had a similar situation with itunes, where I wanted to purchase music from a band but could not get them because they were on itunes for another country or whatever. Instead, Mr. Zoom got the cds for me. But it would have been nice if I could have downloaded them from itunes, especially since I'm willing to pay for music legally and all that junk.
If I were in charge of Hulu, I'd let you in Karl!!
It seems like such an archaic way of trying to control something that wasn't initially meant to be on the web.
