Trying to get computer business?

Here's a computer store sign in Milford, New Hampshire that brought a lot of customers in.

This is totally unscientific in terms of a sampling, but feel free to comment to this post and share your Vista experiences with the other readers. As for my own experiences, I tried Vista on my (former) HP laptop, which was no slouch hardware-wise save for the mediocre video card..... it sucked.

I personally was really trying to keep away from Vista but as life would have it I had to purchase a new laptop at work for myself. I looked and looked for ones that come with XP but the options where low (always like Toshiba laptops) so I ended up with a Satellite Pro P200 with Vista. There were issues with accessing samba shares in Vista and even adding it to a Windows 2003 Server (all this is being talked about being fixed in the first service pack), after searching for system tools that XP had and two weeks passing... well it's getting better. I should mention I got Vista Business. It runs well on the P200 ( http://www.toshiba.ca/web/product.grp?lg=en§ion=1&group=1&product=7276&part=6542#spectop) .

Just my thoughts. I should also mention I am a system's admin that deals with Windows, Linux and BSD systems.

I'm just a normal schmo and I have vista on my new computer. I have compatibility issues with cameras, and other hardwarey things. I've had to purchase a driver update program that searches for updates on drivers as they become available on my various hardward. I think Microsoft should pay for that, but they don't.
