Utter bullshit...... oh am I thinking out loud? Too bad..

The CBC reports that HMV is about to cut CD prices in a big way, especially for the older albums. They quote Graham Henderson, president of the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA - the Canadian version of the RIAA) as saying the Canadian government has "sat on their hands and done nothing" to stem the tide of illegal music downloads as compared to "other countries, including the U.S. and Britain, have been able to stem the tide of illegal downloading by updating laws and increasing enforcement".

HA! Dude! Their laws have done absolutely nothing to 'stem the tide', according to the EFF's latest in depth report "RIAA v. The People, Four Years Later".

You know what though - our government will likely buy this pile of BS and offer some kind of ineffectual law, tarrif or some other nonsense move to try and look like something's being done. Don't believe a word of it.
