What about countries that have a Metric Commitment problem like the UK? Their roads are still in miles, you still order pints and their money is still in pounds!! I know, the last one was a shot in the dark.
I know, I live in a very progressive country...why just today I heard the mileage standards for US automakers will be required to have 35 miles per gallon by the year 2020.

I know, when I went to Canada last year it seemed exciting that the speed limit was 100 KPH. It sounded so fast until I found out it was about 60 MPH.
We had to learn the metric system in 6th grade because we were told all countries would be metric. I'm still waiting to use that knowledge...
