I've picked my 7..... if only I could vote for them.....

CBC, our national public broadcaster, is learning the lesson of what happens when a web site doesn't have the resources necessary to handle a sudden increase in web hits.

In this case, the CBC is having a contest where folks can vote for the 7 Wonders of Canada from a lineup of 52 nominees. You may have trouble voting for your 7 picks, but hopefully they get it fixed soon.

Pictured is me next to a tree in Cathedral Grove on Vancouver Island - one of the nominees. Darlene was suffering from a stubborn cold that she couldn't shake for weeks when we visited Cathedral Grove. Later that day, all of her symptoms were gone. It was surreal.
