Caesar's Steak House - They have a glassed in grill area where you can see your steak getting cooked. The service is top notch and the steak is among the best.

Mother Tucker's (or M.T. Tucker's as it's now known) - We pronounce it slightly differently, if you catch my drift. They have the best buffet spread in Calgary which makes them a hit for Sunday brunches, especially on holidays. They'll give you a free dinner on the day of your birthday.

Saltlik - Steak and scalloped potatoes in your own little cast iron pan. The French Onion Soup is tasty and has an inventive broth. The atmosphere is perfect and they have a party room you can rent downstairs that is very cozy.

Bavarian Inn - German food at a rustic little place located in a forest setting by the foothills of the Rockies. Chef Charlie is talented and often comes to talk to the customers. I go for the pork medallions baked with Emmenthal cheese, with pan fried potatoes, red cabbage and cheese späetzle on the side.

Joey Tomatoes - Gourmands are going to gag at the mention of a chain restaurant, but Joey's serves decent quality food for a place that doesn't really employ chefs (in the truest sense of the word).
