There's a new Bond in town...... and he's good

Perhaps one of the last people to do so, I finally sat down and watched Casino Royale, the latest Bond film yesterday. Unless you've been hiding under a rock lately, you probably heard that Daniel Craig is the new Bond.

The opening sequence was perfect. The sexist babe-a-thon graphics are gone. The theme song, by Chris Cornell (you might now that name from the band Soundgarden), was memorable. Darlene was impressed. The only part of the movie I felt was over the top was the chase scene on the construction site. The rest was clever, and did not patronize the audience. In other words - I liked it. Daniel Craig plays a fine Bond. He's just sarcastic enough to be cool without acting like a buffoon. The villains weren't cheesy. The women acted like they had some intelligence.

If you've avoided Bond movies of late, you might want to give this one a try.

I havent seen a bond movie for ever......maybe its time to give it another chance. Am I strange?....I dont like Star Wars movies, Harry Potter, etc. But one movie I love......and drives Pam crazy because I always wanna watch it is "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man". Don Johnson is good...but Mickey Rourke is GREAT!

We rented the Casino movie this past weekend. I hadn't seen a Bond movie in ages, having skipped right over Pierce Brosnon. It was mighty fine, but I wasn't to keen with Judi Dench as M...just one girls opinion.
