75. I love driving.
I just don't get enough opportunities to drive. Hell, I broke in my current car's engine on a drive from Calgary to Los Angeles and back (and what a great drive it was: Calgary - Helena MT - Provost UT - Los Angeles CA - Las Vegas NV - Idaho Falls ID - Calgary - we went in April). My longest driving trip included 11 days of driving. How much do I drive? Well, my car just turned 3 years old and it has 95,000km (59,000 miles) on it. My last car, a 12 year old Honda Accord had 365,000km (227,000 miles) on it.
Don't get me wrong, flying somewhere in a few hours is grand, but only if it has a rental car waiting for me at the destination.

If I ever need to hire a driver will you it? I drive about 25,000 miles a year and my husband used to drive bus for Seattle. Neither one of like to drive much. But we would make really good passengers.
If it pays enough..... absolutely. I just couldn't see anyone paying me $65k a year to be their driver.....
Mind you, that's only $56k in US funds.
Karl, what is it that you like about driving? I'm guessing from your description that you're not referring to city driving.
It's hard to explain. I just enjoy being behind the wheel. I'm not really opposed to city driving, though I'll admit it is more frustrating than driving on the open road. But having begun my driving experience in Montreal and Toronto, I can assure you that Calgary does not suffer from extremely bad city driving conditions.
I like driving so much, that even though Darlene has a license, she has never had to drive herself since hooking up with me because I'm always offering to drive her where she needs to go (unless I'm away or at work).
My driving style is all over the place too. I take it easy in traffic because other drivers are too unpredictable, but if the road is empty, the car gets a workout. Driving the Coquihalla highway in BC usually results in a bruised right arm, from Darlene punching me and telling me to slow down.
Do you drive fast? I suggest trying out something with a turbo. Too much fun!
Yeah, turbo would be nice. But Honda manages to squeeze 200HP out of the little 4 banger in my beast. It's not too shabby.
You would be a big fan of my dad. He drove from Southeastern Pennsylvania to Calgary (and Medicine Hat and some of the funkily-named towns in Alberta) and back again. Not all in one go, obviously. But that was only a few years ago. He'll be 76 this year.
