Have you ever looked at the words in a document and suddenly been struck with the realization that a certain word just doesn't seem familiar - even though it's a valid word? It's a kind of feeling where you know the word exists and is spelled correctly, but it doesn't look right. You stare at it as if it were some kind of poser that you had been accepting all your life, then your brain starts seeing the word as an impostor. Well, that happened to me (again) today.
This time it was the word full. It was sitting next to the word control. Control looked perfectly fine - my mind was very accepting of its existence, but the word full just didn't look right and I cannot explain why. It may have been the font, it may have been the size of the text, but this word just stood out like an Oreo cookie in a pile of flour. It was very distracting, but I had to get over it because we all know perfectly well that the word is quite valid.
Am I the only one that this happens to?

No, but I make a game out of it. Losing your mind can be a blast!!!
