You do have some people in your corner....

Any law that removes the option of due process is a dangerous law. It leads to abuse in the manner of countless take down notices being sent out to web resources. This motivates those resources to acquiesce (often with no legal need to do so) just to avoid becoming the target of big business lawyers filing baseless lawsuits that are often just too expensive to fight - at least for the average consumer.

The EFF knows of just such an abuse and wants you to know that they want to help. Specifically, they're referring to the recent take down notices Viacom sent YouTube regarding 100,000 video clips, many of which were not in the least bit infringing - but those clips are gone. Article here.

Where are our governments in all of this? Are they fine with this kind of behaviour?
