What global warming?

For the first time since winter came upon us this 2006/2007 season, the entire country (of Canada) is covered in snow. And so is a significant portion of the US it seems.

I'm expecting pundits any moment now to insist, "See!! There's no global warming! Look at all that snow!"

Wow-wee, that's a lot of snow. And for the first time in about 2 weeks I can see the grass in the back yard. Do you have stay at home snow days in Canada, eh?

Some companies have stay at home snow days - mine isn't one of them.

Calgary doesn't get quite as much snow as some places in this country anyway. Snow storms that are so bad as to make the roads impassable are quite rare. Right now, I'd say we've got maybe 3 or 4 inches of snow on the ground. But it will be mostly gone by the next chinook.

I sense you are trying to trap me into asking about Salmon. Aint gonna happen. I grew up in Idaho where the Chinook was a healthy part of winter. I kind of miss those warms winds, it reminded me that spring was on it's way.
