I enjoyed watching the Golden Globes the other night. I like the show more than the Oscars because they don't fill the time with tributes and musical numbers and whatnot and (for the first hour anyway) they don't get their hair in a knot about long speeches. I was pleasantly surprised to see Jennifer Hudson win a GG, having only found out a few weeks prior that this former American Idol contestant (from 2 years ago) had made it into a Hollywood musical with the likes of Beyonce and Eddie Murphy. Good for her! I rooted for her when she was on Idol and was sad when she was voted off - hoping she would re-appear in the entertainment world before long.
The audience really enjoyed her exclamation, "You do not know how much this does for my confidence.........."
Later in the broadcast, Clint Eastwood, who had just won an award said, "You don't know what this does for my confidence. I feel good."
